Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 September 2026
This policy explains how Vitrona Technologies LLC (“Vitrona”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information — both through this website and through the Vitrona wearable and dashboard.
1. Who we are
Vitrona Technologies LLC, a limited liability company organised under the laws of the State of Missouri. You can reach us about privacy at vitronatechnologies@gmail.com.
2. What Vitrona is — and is not
Vitrona is a general wellness product. It is designed to support awareness of everyday wellbeing. It is not a medical device, it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and it is not an emergency response or nurse call system.
The Vitrona wearable is not yet in general deployment. Sections of this policy that describe how we handle resident data describe how the product is built to operate; we will update this policy as the product reaches real communities.
3. Information we collect
Through this website
If you submit our demo request form, we collect your name, your organisation, your work email, your community size and anything you write in the message field.
We set no cookies and run no analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, and no third-party tracking of any kind on this site. We do not build a profile of your visit.
Through the Vitrona wearable
The Vitrona wearable measures three signals: heart rate, blood oxygen and skin temperature. Alongside these we collect device information needed to keep the wearable working — device identifier, battery level, connectivity status, firmware version and error logs.
Each wearable is associated with an identifier supplied by the community that deploys it. The community keeps the record linking a person to their device identifier. Vitrona receives only that identifier — never a wearer’s name, room number or date of birth. We are not able, on our own, to work out who any given set of readings belongs to.
4. Where wearer data comes from
Where Vitrona is deployed in a senior living community, we generally receive wearer information from that community rather than from the wearer directly. The community is responsible for obtaining any consent required from the wearer or their legal representative before enrolling them, and for confirming that the wearer is able to consent or that an authorised representative has consented on their behalf.
5. How we use information
- To provide the dashboard and trends the community has subscribed to
- To support, troubleshoot and maintain devices and accounts
- To communicate with you about your enquiry, account or service changes
We do not use wearer data to develop new products, train models or build benchmarks. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes or for advertising.
6. Who else touches the data
We keep the number of third parties small by design. Wearer data is stored, encrypted, on infrastructure we operate and control directly rather than on a third-party cloud platform.
- Netlify hosts this website and processes the demo request form, so Netlify receives what you submit through it.
- Google — we use Gmail for business correspondence, so Google processes email you send us and email we send you.
- The community that deploys Vitrona — staff see the wearers their role permits.
- Family members — only where the wearer and the community have enabled sharing.
- Legal — where we are required by law, or to protect rights and safety.
- Business transfer — if Vitrona is acquired or merged, information may transfer as part of that transaction.
7. How long we keep it
Wearer data is deleted within 90 days of account termination. While a community is an active customer, we retain wearer data for as long as we need it to provide the service.
If an individual stops using a Vitrona wearable — because they leave the community, stop wearing the device or pass away — their data is deleted within 90 days of the community unenrolling them, whether or not the community remains a customer.
Demo enquiries submitted through this website are kept for no longer than 24 months, and deleted sooner on request.
8. Security
Wearer data is encrypted in transit and encrypted at rest. We store it on infrastructure we operate and control directly, rather than on a third-party cloud platform.
Access to wearer data is limited to Vitrona personnel who need it to operate and support the service.
No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to us.
9. HIPAA
Many senior living operators are HIPAA covered entities. When a covered entity gives a vendor individually identifiable health information so the vendor can perform a service on its behalf, that vendor is generally a business associate under HIPAA, and a Business Associate Agreement is required — regardless of how the vendor’s product is classified or marketed.
Vitrona does not currently offer a Business Associate Agreement, and does not currently hold data on behalf of any covered entity. If you are a covered entity considering Vitrona, please raise this with us and with your own compliance counsel before deploying the product or sending us any resident information.
10. Your rights
We operate only in the United States. Our customers are currently located in Missouri, which has not enacted a comprehensive consumer privacy statute — so no state privacy law currently obliges us to offer the rights below. We offer them anyway, as a matter of practice:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct it
- Ask us to delete it
- Ask for a copy of it
- Withdraw consent to sharing at any time
To exercise any of these, email vitronatechnologies@gmail.com. Where we hold wearer data on behalf of a community, we will generally direct such requests to that community and support them in responding.
If we begin serving customers in states with comprehensive privacy laws — California, Colorado, Virginia, Connecticut, Texas and a growing list of others — or anywhere outside the United States, we will update this policy before doing so.
11. Children
Vitrona is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
12. Changes to this policy
We will post any changes on this page and update the date above. If a change is significant, we will notify affected communities directly.
